The extension isn't inserting text. What should I do?

Make sure you clicked into a text field before pressing Ctrl+Space. On some sites (Slack, Asana) the shortcut is captured by the page — try pressing Ctrl+Space twice to activate. If the issue persists, refresh the page.

I see "Microphone access denied". How do I fix this?

Click the lock icon in Chrome's address bar → Site settings → Microphone → Allow. Then refresh the page and try again.

How do I switch the transcription language?

Open the LinguaVox popup (click the extension icon) → change "Speech language" to your language. Set to "Auto-detect" if you want Whisper to detect it automatically.

What is the daily usage limit?

The free tier allows 100 requests per day. The counter resets at midnight UTC. Your current usage is shown in the extension popup after signing in.

Does LinguaVox work on Google Docs?

Partially. Google Docs uses a custom canvas editor that limits automatic text insertion. If insertion fails, LinguaVox will copy the text to your clipboard — paste it manually with Ctrl+V.

Is my voice data stored anywhere?

No. Audio goes directly to OpenAI Whisper for transcription and is immediately discarded. LinguaVox never stores voice recordings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?
